Later, while studying in graduate school, the artist began to study various signs and symbols of bygone eras, which made it possible to strengthen the semantic component in his works.
A special matrix of worldview has been formed, which is expressed in a complex multi-stage view of life and the various processes occurring in it. Conceptually, Ruslan's art sometimes intersects with religious images, since the artist really likes their aesthetics and emotional coloring.
There was also a place for digital graphics, with its help Ruslan creates digital illustrations in a similar style
and from time to time adds pops of color to the black-and-white aesthetic. In addition, higher education and interest in design help to implement various projects, combining art and design.
"My art is a personal perception of the world, various events and processes. I put together images of the conscious and unconscious, I use signs and symbols as certain mediums in communication with the viewer. I take ideas for my works from the world around me and supplement them with semantic components and those things "that worry me. I carefully put together sometimes incompatible elements into a single composition and try to find answers to eternal philosophical questions."
The creative path of St. Petersburg artist Ruslan Borisenko began in early childhood and has continued
at the St. Petersburg Children's Art School No. 2, which largely determined the vector of his future life path and interests. Since childhood, Ruslan has given preference to graphic tools for creative expression. Pencil, ink. While studying at art school, the first exhibitions began.
Despite 2 higher education degrees in graphic design and working with raster, vector and 3d graphics, Ruslan retained an interest in traditional means of creative expression.
Sometimes combining, sometimes separating, traditional and digital creativity, the artist was looking for his own direction
in art.
After some time, looking at the engravings of Albrecht Durer, Ruslan decided to try to work in a similar style, using ink, shading, engraving techniques and pointillism - a style in which an image is formed using an array of points.
